Ready the Lindo Wing… The Duchess of Cambridge is Pregnant!

HAPPY MONDAY Y’ALL… The Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant with her second child!

But seriously, talk about an exciting early morning wakeup on a Monday. I 100% have royal baby ESP… I should not be awake yet. Same as when she was in labor with Prince George. I get a feeling, I spring to life before the sun rises. Royal baby adrenaline – it’s the new coffee.

Kensington Palace released a statement this morning:

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child.The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news. As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.

It is unfortunate Kate is experiencing this severe morning sickness again, sadly meaning the couple had to make the announcement in this manor once again and before her 12 week mark. The Duchess of Cambridge will not accompanying her husband on an engagement in Oxford today, and one would assume that based on this, her appearance at the Invictus Games Opening ceremony on Wednesday to support her brother-in-law (and almost fifth-in-line to the throne) is up in the air now, although no word yet as I am sure it is day by day. Kate is due for another defining moment on September 20-21 when she undertakes her first solo overseas tour to Malta.

William and Kate will be parents to another beautiful baby. Prince George will be a big brother – he is soo cute with Lupo, imagine with another baby?! Harry will be an uncle again. It’s all too much for this early in the morning.

No due date has been announced yet…but should be April (shocked I can do math this early). Hope that all the local ladder selling shops are fully stocked.

Break Out the Tequila & Lock Up Your Daughters..

..That’s right, Prince Harry has made landfall in the UK after decrompressing in Cyprus on the way home from his 20 week tour of duty in Afghanistan. After arriving at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire to snow covered grounds (slight change of weather from his time in the desert, huh..) a freshly tanned Harry gave one more interview about his time in Afghanistan and what’s to come in 2013.

Good news for us – Captain Wales says he is looking forward to taking on more “royal stuff” in 2013 – after a 4-5 week leave of course! Not surprisingly, the uncle-to-be can’t wait to visit with his brother and sister-in-law..behind closed doors, no media present! Glad to see the harshness of the front lines hasn’t stolen his priceless sense of humor.

He could make the world’s dumbest comments right now and I would not even care, the excitement levels are at an all time high and I know I speak for a lot of you when I say I am just thrilled to have him home!

The Duchess of Cambridge Turns 31!

Happy Birthday to The Duchess of Cambridge!

Catherine Elizabeth Middleton was born 31 years ago today in Berkshire, England – which I suspect is where she might spend this birthday! Altough Kate’s first birthday as a royal was “low-key,” one can assume this year’s will be even more so due to her pregnancy. No sipping on crack babies this year! (Rumored to be Kate’s favorite drink – no spreading rumors that she eats babies). A St. James’s Palace spokesperson confirmed that she will be “spending her birthday privately.”

If you want to get yourself a present to celebrate the fashionable royal’s birth, coincidentally British Vogue hits stands today with Katepedia. I’m going to take a wild guess that Kate has the best present she could ask for growing underneath her Reiss dresses. Eating birthday cake for two (or three)!

Christmas Gifts for the Royals

Christmas is right around the corner – have you picked out a gift for your favorite royal? If not, no worries! I’ve compiled a list of the perfect presents to give the royal family this year. Now, she doesn’t need to wait to enjoy gin o’clock until she gets home, she can do so during parades, races, church services or charitable engagements with the flask fascinator!

If you’ve been following the media blitz surrounding Kate’s acute morning sickness, you would know that her Hyperemesis Gravidarum diagnosis obviously means she’s having twins. Way to go, Wills.

Everyone is expecting Kate to be the most fashionable pregnant woman the world has ever seen, which only means one thing – she needs to borrow Joey Tribiani’s Thanksgiving pants. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you must watch it.

Prince Harry

You might want to stay away from purchasing Captain Wales a ticket to Vegas to welcome him home from Afghanistan the same way he left, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t have some fun with him. Okay, clearly this is a joke list of gifts. If you can’t have fun with the royals at Christmas, when can you, eh?

BABY CAMBRIDGE IS COMING!

KATE IS PREGNANT!

The only way you haven’t heard this yet is if you are literally living under a rock (or were on a plane when the announcement was made.. like me). Go figure, I haven’t flown since April and for 3 hours I am without access to the outside world and the news we’ve all been waiting for is announced. I’m just confused as to why the captain didn’t make an in flight announcement.

Unfortunately, the news does come with some distress as Kate was admitted to the hospital today with Hyperemesis Gravidarum, aka acute morning sickness. Perhaps it was the game of hockey she played in heels the on Friday? (BTW, great diversion tactic Kate). I’m sure this is not how Their Royal Highnesses envisioned sharing the creation of the latest heir to the throne, but hopefully The Duchess of Cambridge is sitting on her couch in Wales playing with Lupo in no time!

Now that royal baby watch is finally over the next question is  – will the baby wear white McQueen to its christening? And what designers will start a line of Kate inspired maternity clothes? Kate can’t go without McQueen and Jenny Packham for nine months. Will her feet swell up so much she can’t fit in her L.K. Bennett nude heels? Regardless, Kate will be the most stylish, adorable pregant woman anyone has ever seen.
