5 Reasons Prince Harry’s Next Girlfriend Should Be a Brunette

In case you’ve been living under a crater-sized rock, it was announced earlier this week that Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas have split after nearly two years of dating. The perfectly timed news came out on the day Harry’s older brother celebrated his three-year wedding anniversary, and just days before he came to America for friend Guy Pelly’s wedding. Yes, you read that correctly – Prince Harry is on American soil. Memphis to be exact. Well, after a quick stop for some single-guy fun in Miami.

Now, I’m not 100% convinced this break-up is for real. Although, I could totally foresee Ross/Rachel situation happening when H gets back to London after this weekend…

C: I can’t believe you hooked up with the Xerox girl at the Memphis Kinkos!!! How could you?!
H: WE WERE ON A BREAK!!!!!

Like I said, my money is still on an engagement by the end of the year, but in the event that I’m wrong and this amicable separation is the real deal, Prince Harry should DEFINITELY date a brunette next. To ease him out of the blondes phase, maybe a light brunette…?

5 Reasons Prince Harry’s Next Girlfriend Should Be a Brunette:

1. Isn’t’ it obvious? Blondes clearly aren’t working for you, Harry. Chelsy, Cressida… wait, maybe it’s just the letter C you should stay away from? Nah, it’s the blondes.

2. Numbers don’t lie. A 2013 survey found that six out of ten men (58 percent) say brunettes are better in bed. Blondes? 16 percent.

3. Brunettes make better wives. Again, it’s down to the math people! A survey conducted by Superdrug associated “wife-like” attributes with brunettes more than any other hair color. These include being “deeper” and “more sensible” than blondes, as well as being better with money, are better cooks, better at cleaning and take better care of their appearance. Wait, do men want a brunette or a woman from the 1950’s?

 4. James Bond prefers brunettes. If it’s good enough for the Bond, it’s good enough for the fourth-in-line.

5. I’m a Brunette.

Blondes have more fun, eh? Come on over to the dark side, Your Royal Highness.. we just want you to be happy! Honestly, no matter what her hair color. But, seriously…science and math don’t lie!

14 Royal Moments to Come in 2014

Although 2013 may have been my favorite royal year to date, there will be no shortage of big events in 2014. To kick off the new year, I take a look at 14 royal moments to watch for in 2014. Some of these we know to be true, others are pure speculation and some are just made up so I could get to the number 14. Kidding, I would not just make things up!

1. Zara and Mike’s Baby

Zara Phillips and her husband Mike Tindall are expecting their first child any day now! Princess Anne’s daughter is due to give birth in January 2014 with her  rugby star husband, whom she married in July 2011. We will soon find out if Prince George will have a boy or girl cousin to grow up with.

2. Prince William Returns to School

We all wondered what the second-in-line would do after leaving the military this year, well.. today we got our answer! Kensington Palace announced that The Duke of Cambridge will become a full-time student at Cambridge University to study agricultural management. The Duke of Cambridge going to Cambridge? You can’t make this stuff up! Prince William will take a 10-week course, averaging 4-5 hours a day, in which he will learn of the issues facing the nation’s rural communities and farming industry. The course will begin in January and keep William quite busy through March.

3. Will Prince Harry Settle Down?

The question that is on every royal watcher’s mind – will Prince Harry pop the question to Cressida Bonas? The duo first stepped out together in the summer of 2012, have been through a Vegas scandal, tour of duty and a year + of speculation.. it seems like the natural next step, right? Not so fast – when has Harry ever been known to do the expected? Only time will tell…

4. Cambridges Down Under

After quite a lot of royal rumblings, it was confirmed this month that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will embark on a tour of Australia and New Zealand in April 2014. Although an official decision will not be made until closer to the date, one can only imagine Prince George will accompany his parents; no way they are leaving him behind for nearly a month of travel. A lovely nod to Prince William’s own first overseas visit with his parents in 1983.

5. Irish State Visit

April 2014 will bring another milestone visit for the monarchy as Ireland’s president is to become the first Irish head of state to make a visit to Britain. President Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina accepted an invitation from Her Majesty for a 3-day visit, furthering the demonstration of positive relationship building after The Queen’s own landmark visit to Ireland in May 2011.

6. Prince George’s First Birthday

We spent 22 days of July 2013 watching a door; this year we will all take part in a much more ordinary custom – celebrating a first birthday. HRH Prince George Alexander Louis will turn one-year-old on July 22, 2014. One can only imagine the type of birthday festivities this adorable heir will see. We’re all bound to be invited to the party, right?

7. Commonwealth Games

The Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow, July 23 – August 3 and it is expected that The Queen will open the games. Her Majesty did mention the international baton relay in her Christmas broadcast, and it is of obvious importance to her as head of the Commonwealth.

8. Prince Harry’s 30th Birthday

Ah yes, thirty glorious years of Prince Harry. He has accomplished so much in his life thus far and this is bound to be another exciting year for him. His twenties saw two tours of duty in Afghanistan, two royal tours overseas, a break-up and a new love. I dare say Prince Harry has will only pick up the pace in his thirties.

9. Beatrice – Princess Bride?

Her older cousin is not the only royal facing engagement speculation as the new year approaches. The royal rumor mill is flying with talk of Princess Beatrice walking down the aisle with longtime boyfriend Dave Clark.

10. A Banner Year for Britain

We can expect to see royal attendance in Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games this coming summer, but I would count on participation in a number of other top events hitting Britain throughout the year. In 2014, Britain will also be home to the Ryder Cup, the passing of the Tour de France and world travelers will flock to Scotland for Homecoming. The year also marks the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare and the centenary of World War I.

11. Her Majesty Takes Flight at Heathrow

June 4, 2014 will mark the opening of the new Terminal 2 at Heathrow Airport. Now, what does this have to do with the royals? Earlier this year Heathrow announced the terminal will be named in honor of Queen Elizabeth II, being called ‘Terminal 2 – The Queen’s Terminal.’ Her Majesty opened the original Terminal 2 in 1955, and recently opened Terminal 5 in 2008; one can gather that she or a member of her family will be present for this dedication as well. Please note – I am just guessing here!

12. Baby Cambridge Number 2?

We’re all thinking it, but only some of us are saying it. This is of course, not a guarantee, however I would not be surprised if we have a pregnancy announcement from Kensington Palace by year’s end. As Prince George turns one this summer and both William and Catherine have siblings about that close in age, it is not out of the question that they would hope for a sibling for him sooner rather than later.

13. Prince Charles Steps Up to the Plate

Although we saw quite a lot of this from the first-in-line to the throne in 2013, Prince Charles is sure to continue to take on greater responsibility on behalf of his mother. This year saw The Prince of Wales visiting Sri Lanka to take his mother’s role at the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting, and with The Queen marking her 88th birthday this April, it is likely his role will only increase with time.

14. The Year of Prince Harry

My love for Prince Harry aside, any royal watcher may have to admit that all signs point to Harry in 2014. Will he put a ring on it? I’m a bit sick of all this Cressida engagement talk and it hasn’t even happened yet! Another tour of duty? A third overseas tour? (Please yes!) Or perhaps a promotion? Captain Wales is on the brink of reaching the minimum requirement for a bump to major. At this point, your guess for Harry’s happenings are as good as mine.. but we all know that whatever happens, it won’t be boring.

What are your royal predictions for 2014?

Happy New Year!

Can Every Day be “Prince Harry on a Charitable Mission” Day?

Someone pass me the defibrillator, this day is giving me a heart attack. Prince Harry was in Lesotho today to carry out work on behalf of his charity, Sentebale. Harry has always said that he feels he can truly be himself in Africa, and we definitely saw that today – my swoon levels when the photos came out were through the roof.

Harry completely let loose with the children of Lesotho as he participated in a sign language lesson, strapped on a Paddington Bear apron to cook in the kitchen, take in a soccer match and dance. Oh, the dancing.. I’m beginning to think the real purpose of these trips abroad is to compile the world’s greatest ‘Dancing with the Star’s audition tape. But WHERE are the blue suede shoes?

A man who can cook, dance and is good with kids.. well done, Cressida Bonas.

Oh and if that weren’t enough, he then hopped a train to Johannesburg, South Africa to speak at a fundraising gala for Sentebale. Yes, this means he was in a tux.

At the gala Prince Harry spoke of his mother, Princess Diana, and his hope that she would be proud of him and the work he is doing for HIV/Aids in Africa. Harry has had a lot to worry about in his life – the paparazzi, the Taliban..his mother being proud of him will never be one of them.

So many thanks to @HWalesWatch for being so on top of things as always and of course, @RE_DailyMail, @ChrisJack_Getty, @RoyalReporter and all of the top royal reporters sending us updates from Africa.

Today’s News: Kate Looks Great, Harry Has Date

For the sake of a good rhyme, I am really glad Harry and Kate have both had outings over the past 24 hours!

Last night, Prince Harry hit the IMAX screening of “The Dark Knight Rises” in London alongside his cousin Princess Eugenie..and some blonde chick. Before I go any further, a huge thanks to @HWalesWatch, the ultimate in Prince Harry news. She never misses a beat!

Prince hottie looked dashing in a dark blue suit and crisp white shirt, while Eugenie, accompanied by boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, rocked a trendy dress and enviable black jacket. I can imagine Christian Bale is used to undivided attention from the ladies at events such as this, but it doesn’t surprise me to hear Harry “stole the show.”

After the premiere, the royal cousins hit the after party at  Freemason’s Hall and continued the party at the Salon where Harry was seen leaving in the wee hours of the morning. Now, a night on the town is not uncommon when it comes to Harry – so, what’s the twist? The 27-year-old bachelor was not flying solo as he made his way through the city on Wendesday night, he had a petite blonde in tow. Although the Daily Mail originally reported his date was model Cara Delevingne, it was later announce that the Burberry model was not, in fact, the woman making hearts break around the world.

So, who is the girl who’s demise I’m currently plotting? TBD. And no, I’m not serious when I say that. But seriously, who did her hair? Yikes. *UPDATE: @HWalesWatch, @RoyalForumMoron I.D. Harry’s lady as Cressida Bonas as of Thursday afternoon.

Onto a woman with seriously covetable hair, The Duchess of Cambridge. Catherine hit the National Portrait Gallery to preview the Road to 2012: Aiming High exhibit. The visit marked the beginning of many upcoming appearances for Kate in her role as an Olympic Ambassador; the visit also served as double duty as she is also a patron of the gallery. The exhibit showcases showcased world-class Olympic and Paralympic athletes, the behind-the-scenes team and even a black and white photograph of Catherine herself, playing hockey with Team GB.

As much as I would absolutely love to see this exhibit, I am thrilled with one other thing I saw today – Kate’s outfit. Holy electric blue Stella McCartney dress! I really adored this dress on Kate – bright, youthful, flattering and looked fantastic paired with black Prada pumps. Although the dress was a winner, it was the accessories that generated the most buzz – the 30-year-old royal sported the Trinity necklace by Cartier, price tag: £49,000. WOWZA. The 18K pink, yellow and white gold diamond piece (thanks @thecambridges for the description), was perfectly Olympic-themed as it beautifully displayed five rings – four smaller and one large hoop at the bottom. Also on point with the premise of the day? The fashionable duchess donned by the designer of Team GB’s Olympic kits.
